POST-SECONDARY PREPAREDNESS PROGRAM

COURSE OVERVIEW

For Students in 11th – 12th Grade

Students don’t know their non-college options, we help them forge a path to their post-secondary career goal.

This program combines work-based learning with post-secondary planning. Over six months, students will:

  • DEVELOP THE BROAD TRANSFERABLE SKILLS THEY NEED FOR CONTINUED EDUCATION AND THE WORKPLACE – By learning what it means to be coachable, collaborative, autonomous, critical thinking and self-startinG.
  • MAKE CONNECTIONS WITH EMPLOYERS – By hearing from employers both in and outside the classroom and completing tasks that allow them to further explore jobs of interest.
  • IDENTIFY 2 POST-SECONDARY PROGRAMS – Students need a plan for where they’re headed to immediately after high school and how the program they’re choosing qualifies them for the job of their choice
